JStarr, this is beautiful! Good harmony with objects, color and composition, loose strokes. That curtain is perfect there. Wow, I really like this painting. Do a large one if you haven't already.

I love interiors too but avoid them because of my lack of perspective skills. This is such a nice composition and the shadows on the curtains add a lot of interest. Nice color contrasts too!

Donna, you don't have to know perspective when painting interiors or other 'perspective' stuff.
If you do an interior painting as a painting from life, then you just 'bring/move the wall/corner/straight line with your brush' to the painting. Little like sight-size but it's not perfectly sight-size so your setup doesn't need to be for sight-size. I'm using this 'bring lines with brush' to the painting bc otherwise my perspective lines would look odd. This way doing perspective you stand in one place and you keep arm firm and straight. Not sure if I explain clear tho?
