Chuck Close died

He was my favorite living artist not only for his vision and creativity but for his great advice to artists.

Also his working through his physical (and more recently dementia) obstacles.

I know several artists who met him when students and he was incredibly down to earth and quickly turned the conversation to what they were doing and thinking. RIP

RIP. He had multiple sclerosis. I wonder if that was why he died. I'll have to look it up.
