Painted at the cabin a week ago. It's an oil painting on board.

Beautifully done, Grapes! You made a wonderful feeling of distance and I like all the layers in the sky too.

Donna & Wayne, thanks so much!
I had trouble to paint the reed in front but I thought 'how would Van Gogh paint it' and I came up with thick paint.

Thanks Bongo. I hope you get to go paint pleinair. Your shoulder sounds serious but glad to hear you have treatment for it.

Very nicely done - you seem to paint very well outdoors. I have been away for several weeks on holiday and am way behind on forums, painting and commenting. (Plus I am rather overwhelmed and exhausted. Perhaps another holiday to “recuperate” ?) There are many things that need my attention at home, and I hope to participate more in September.

Joy, thanks a lot! Hope you recover soon and can get to do daily things as usual. Do you share any pictures of your trip anywhere?

My photos are still on my camera, and it may take a bit to get "caught up" with everything at home. I saw a lot of great sights, including some wonderful art. I may start a thread showing some of the art, as that is pertinent to this forum. I doubt many are interested in someone else's holiday photos, except a some selected locations. Iceland, in particular, was a stunningly spectacular country. Even though I did not plan as obsessively as I have in the past, I still put a lot of pressure on myself to get the most out of each location.

Oh, you saw Iceland!! That must have been spectacular! A new thread would be great and everyone is interested in the travel photos!
I was last month painting in Ireland but - like you - I'm still recovering from summer's travels. It takes time to get photos out of camera and in my case finish the pleinair paintings.

We did go to Dublin briefly, which was very crowded. Belfast was much smaller and we had a great waking tour on "The Troubles".
