Just a little study built on top of another study. 10 x10 acrylic on watercolor paper.

Beautiful. Such a serene quality to this piece that is lovely and unique. Success!

Thank you Christine. I’ve been putting off painting glass (and clouds and figures) so it’s time to get to work.

Thank you Arty. It’s kind of quiet and not what I was aiming for but that’s ok. The more I try to force a different style of painting the more the paintings fight back!

I agree with the previous comments. I love how you have some reflective colour from the bottle in the pear.

Thanks so much Bethany, Jo and Sanlynn. I didn’t really see much of the bottle color on the pear but I thought it was needed to tie them together. I’m glad you think it worked. It also helps that you find a soft, calm mood because I always fear my work will be seen as boring, especially when so many artists use bright, saturated colors so well. I try but those are the ones that get painted over. 🙄

I'm in love with your blue bottle! Fabulous color. Everything here is soft, and soothing.

NO - your work is never boring to me. Not everyone's palette needs to scream for attention! Sometimes a whisper speaks the loudest. You stick with what your mind is giving you; it's wonderful. ❤️

I seriously admire your background - I LOVE where you put your horizontal line. Gorgeous piece.

Hi Terri and thank you so much for your comments. I guess I will continue to whisper because it’s more me than speaking loudly. Maybe an outburst now and then just to see what it’s like.
