I was wondering if anyone has purchased artist supplies from Temu. Their prices are so low. If you have, what was the quality? I haven't had to buy much recently and after looking around the site I see a number of things I'd like to try. In the past, I normally ordered from Dick Blick or Jerry's. I recently looked and wow sticker shock. The prices have really gone up. It must be financially difficult getting started this day and age.

AI review is not favourable. I would not use them, but that is me. I only use student paint as I paint for me. I don’t care if a piece last a day or a year.

No on Temu. I find if you have Michael’s stores, wait till they have 50 or 60% off sales. They do the 50% off several times a year. Then keep the receipt because it’s usually good for another 40% off anything inside the store that is not already on sale. They have quite a good selection. Otherwise you’re gonna need a dedicated art store. I buy the professional level canvases that have all the extra wood support backing at 50 or 60% off. It’s the only way I buy them. It’s the most competitive. Get on their mailing list or texting list and you will get the announcements when the sales are on. Also take a look at Facebook marketplace. People are always getting rid of their supplies. You can pick up good stuff there. You could put a wanted post there. Also, there are buy and sell groups. Or free/ pay it forward groups.

Thanks for the suggestions. There is a Dick Blick store about an hour away. Michel's is about 30 minutes away.
