I thought we might post here some favorite works of art for the season. I’ll start with these two paintings… The Nativity by Giotto and Joy to the World by Gennady Spirin:

I thought I’d throw in a painting by François Boucher… that is quite surprising for him:

If I didn’t recognize his handling of the faces… especially Mary’s… I would have thought this was a late Baroque painting… maybe Italian.
