Another Small Oil

This is another 5" x 7" oil on Dick Blick acrylic primed panel, but I painted this from pure imagination.....No reference photo used.

Thank youi very much! I used to help my granddaughter with her art at times, when she was in high school, and she became so competent with her work, that I now consider her to be a colleague, rather than a "student". It was she who gave me some good suggestions with this painting, after I had offered some suggestions to her, regarding a piece that she was working on. She, and I have both been doing paintings from our imaginations, and we seem to be having a ball doing so.!

As I may have mentioned before, abouit 3 years ago, I placed my wife in a memory-care facility, and I've been a bit affected by that move. I found it difficult to sit in a room, all by myself, and paint. Therefore, I put painting aside for some time, and traded "art" for "music". I play in a trio, with my good friend, and my son, and at the time that served as a bit of comaeraderie, that painting art, simply did not. Now, I am getting back into art, somewhat. Thank you for commenting, Donn T !

Sorry about your wife. My husband has Parkinson's and that has really but a block in my painting. I do sketch a lot. I'm happy you found your music and paint with your granddaughter. I like painting from life but find painting from my imagination more difficult. Applause on this one!
