This is a 10" x 8" line and wash on 270 gsm Chitrapat watercolour paper (matt).

Amravati is a small town in India, in Maharashtra State. Recently there was an article in the newspaper about Amravati and it carried a photograph which appealed to me. I have used it as reference and simplified the scene to come up with my post. If I recall correctly some small government or municipal office functions out of this building.

I love this building! The trees behind it make such a wonderful frame! Terrific job, Balaji.

Beautiful work. I need to learn how to do those soft almost nonexistent lines.
I use pen size 005 and a very soft touch. I also keep a stock of pens that are running dry and use them if I want an even softer and thinner line. But most of the time I manage it with soft touches and changing the angle of contact with the paper.
