If I recall correctly, this was painted during the pandemic when I, and many others in Chennai and India, were confined to our homes for long periods of time. During this period I watched a demo video by Kangan Das, an eminent Indian watercolourist, over and over again and then painted this. It is an A3 size watercolour painting on 270 gsm Chitrapat watercolour paper (rough).

This is a gorgeous watercolour. I can feel the damp air. The subtle reflection in the water are really nice.

This is a beautiful painting.

I love your subtle reflections in the water too and the peaceful feel of the whole thing.

The water is so well rendered and it is beautifully composed. I hope you have this framed. I have been away for several weeks on holiday and am way behind on forums, painting and commenting. (Plus I am rather overwhelmed and exhausted. Perhaps another holiday to “recuperate” ?) There are many things that need my attention at home, and I hope to participate more in September.

Thank you Joy.
A holiday to recuperate from a holiday sounds like a never ending situation 😁
For many years now I have always returned from a travel holiday, a few days before the end of my vacation, just to rest and recuperate before resuming my work.
