This is a very quick 5″ x 4″ pen and ink sketch that I did in May 2024 using a black ink gel pen. The subject is a village built with rammed earth, adobe, clay bricks and wood in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco. I used a photograph by Adrian Farwell as my reference.

Today, nearly sixteen months later, I added some watercolour washes to the sketch.

I look forward to seeing your work posted! The color is a nice touch. This is immediately recognizable as Morocco, with excellent perspective.

Agree, the color here makes for a whole lot of additional useful information that would likely have been lost in the ink sketch. Great idea!
