Wasn't sure where to put this. I have a question about acrylic image transfers.
It's been about 15 years since I last did an image transfer, so I don't 100% remember how to do it correctly. I'm thinking of using a Golden acrylic gloss gel medium to do it. Either on canvas or a wood panel, not sure yet. If I remember correctly, I just put a layer of medium down, place my image ink-side down, let dry, and then wet to remove the paper.
But I'm wondering... I don't see why I couldn't... Would I be able to paint on top of the transfer once it's inside the gel? I'm assuming being an acrylic medium, acrylic paint should adhere to the gel just fine? Anyone ever done this?
I have a bit of a vision for a two-piece project on one of my walls. I was going to entirely paint them, but I'm wondering if a transfer/paint combination would better achieve what I'm picturing.
