First off for my one a day challenge. On pastelmat 12x15cm, Rembrandt's.
I had to go home to finish it it was sooooo cold. But at least I've made a start. Looking across the church park into the setting sun.

Hi Jo, thanks for the encouragement! The winter light was so sharp.
Pastelmat works for me, but it's hard to get. I managed to get a couple of pads a while back and use when I know I'm going to be challenged. My usual is Canson Mitintes cos I can get it. But the fine tooth of pastelmat suites me.

Thanks TK. It's a Nice toothy but "smooth" card. I can't get UART here so I cannot compare. But it blends and holds layers nicely

The original photo is a bit yellowish and does not give the snow the right balance and not white balanced.
