You are so right about ice fishing adding to a painting experience. All that waiting and you tend to look around and study the snow and ice. Rainbows everywhere. Anything outside adds to our memory of how color shows. Never seen such orange branches as on a sunny winter day. Quite amazing how an abundance of one color changes the rest.
