Right Now ! ... a Sci-Fi novel ... Infinity Gate by M.R.Carey ... a very entertaining Multiverse "epic" which actually uses scientific principles & a good heap of logic to back it up ... unlike some i've read before 😣 ... it fits in perfectly with my interest in the subject ... as my other...

Cosmic Journey ... A Soviet sci-fi film from 1936 set in the "future" of 1946 & unusually for the time ... a silent! ... its one of those "trip to the moon" efforts but surprisingly low on propaganda & high on FX ... could give Things to Come a run for its money and best of all ... fun to watch .

Started prepping up for my first project of the year ... for this i decided to have a go at a scene from M.R.James final published story "A Vignette" ... i'm hoping to instill the air of potential menace that was never quite realised in the narrative and which so dissatisfied James himself .

At the moment ... Elizabethan Consort & Lute music ... I like this a lot and might even add some pieces to my Playlist .

A Rather Entertaining Australian Sci-Fi film titled "41" which involved elements of Time Travel & Parallel Universes ... somewhat thoughtful & intelligent (which makes a change) ... found it on YT which was unexpected ... pity about the ad breaks but it didn't detract too much from the overall...

Well ... here's my Tree & as a rare treat ... an even rarer sighting of the grinch ... run for the hills while you can ... 😲 .

I'm currently running through my YT playlist which is composed ( no pun intended) of Western European music from the 11th century a.d up to & including the 14th century a.d plus a guilty pleasure outside of my chosen theme namely ... Kay Kyser's 1947 recording of Slowboat to China ... too much...

Right Now ! ... Putting the decorations back up after Suzie discovered the joy of Christmas & decided that pulling them down is SO much more fun that just looking at them ... 🫣 .

Sounds Ominous but it's not really ... i was just wondering ... is anyone an avid reader of The Collected Ghost Stories of M.R.James ? ... the reason i ask this is not only because i'm heavily into his Supernatural works but also because i concentrate exclusively on illustrating various scenes...
