Hi everyone, I haven't been painting much but I did this little oil on a panel that I had. I was trying to describe the changing light in the sky and on the ground and I'm sure I bit off more than I could chew - but it was a good challenge. Sorry about the glare. Oil on panel, 6x6 in.

I'm not noticing any glare - just a wonderful rolling sky full of clouds. I love the bits of blue peeking through.

This is a bold piece, with the sky taking up so much of the panel. The lovely strip of gold above the darker foreground is a nice touch.

Really nice work, Donna. Glad to see you still having fun with oils! ❤️

A very atmospheric painting, Donna! Especially since it is such a tiny panel. Is this a timber or ACM panel?
I also sense that you're having fun and pushing to the edge of your comfort zone- great work!

Thanks Terri, I wish that gold strip photographed better; it’s a little more natural looking. The clouds were crazy that day!

Thank you Bethany. This is a cradled board, birch maybe? I’m tempted to pick up a few more because if they work I can give them away without needing frames.

Beautifully done. A huge atmospheric small painting. Another great one. I really like your works.

Hi Grapes and it’s nice to see you here again. Thank you for the kind words. I hope you are well and doing some plein air work where you live.

Joy, so far I’ve learned that the more closely I follow my reference the stiffer and less cloud-like my clouds look. I appreciate your comment!

Thanks John, I like these little sizes for practice.

Hi Arty, nice to see you around. Thank you so much.
