Trying something weird

I've had these tubes of (acrylic) coarse molding paste and fiber paste and had no idea how I would use them. I just found this broken outer orchid pot that I had haphazardly glued back together and saved it because it's HEAVY. But small pieces of the pot are missing and the alignment of pieces was poor, so I just decided to try using the pastes to change and recover the pot. I didn't think to take any 'before' photos, but here are some in-progress photos. This paste is grabbing the pot!!! I think think this is going to work great. lol! My plan is to paint with acrylics after it's dried. But, does anyone know whether I can use a spray paint over the acrylic coarse molding paste???

Interesting. As far as I know, you can use spray paint as long as there is no oil or slick glaze on the finish.
