Tree on the Verandah

I have been sketching, photographing and painting this tree, central Queensland native ficus, for about 3 months. It's due to be moved this week so I thought I'd create a memory of it. Digital rendition, a mixture of about 7 previous works.

Well, I certainly don't read this as a ficus tree, but it's a gorgeous abstract. I'm enjoying the in-out of focus areas and the play of colors.

Thanks Terri. I know, if you guessed a tree you win a prize. Top right is 'my favourite leaf, under that are the trunk, supports and ties to keep it safe. The rest of it is just my back yard.

Central Qld is semi-tropical. So, thanks must be first time Ive captured it.
