*Tap tap* Is this thing on...? Can everyone hear me okay?

Greetings, everyone!

I know you've all been wondering as to the future of Creative Spark, especially given things have been quiet as of late and the deadline is fast approaching.

Well, I'm here to happily announce that Creative Spark won't be going anywhere, and is here to stay!

Dig out the party hats! Toss the confetti! Break out the cake! 🥳

I'm sure there's been a lot of speculation as to what's going on, who it was that expressed interest in possibly stepping in, etc.
Well, it was yours truly! I know I've been a little quiet on the forums the last while, due to having taken a bit of a hiatus on my own artwork. So I'll post a proper introduction either here or in a separate thread for anyone interested in knowing more about me. In the meantime, my name is TK, aka Taylor (TK preferred), and I'm excited to be a part of the continuation of Creative Spark.

I had also reached out to a friend of mine, Christine (aka PaintBoss) about teaming up with me on this, and I'm happy to announce that she'll be my co-Admin going forward!
Christine has been around Creative Spark since the beginning, and knows the membership well. I'm very happy to have her on as the other half of the Administrative team!

Terri and Triduana will also be continuing as your Mod team. A huge thank you to both of them for being willing to stay on through the ownership switch.

So, where exactly do things sit now?
The official transfer process is currently underway. It may take a few more days to get everything fully settled, but you shouldn't notice any real changes in the site itself. We don't have any plans to "overhaul" the site. So no worries, Creative Spark will continue on as familiar as ever!

I do want to thank all of you for your patience throughout this process. I apologize for having not announced anything sooner, but I also wanted to make sure things were going to move smoothly, and we all felt confident moving forward.

I also want to thank Ayin and Hannah, for sticking around a bit longer, and presenting a chance for Creative Spark to continue. But also, for building this community in the first place. I think the response to the closure announcement is a testament to how much the community means to everyone. And we have that because of the hard work they put in, building it from the ground up, and maintaining it over the years.

Sometimes, life has it's other callings... But I hope you'll both remain a part of the community. Stop by when able! We'd all be happy to see you! 🙂

So... Now that all of that is out of the way...

Here's to Creative Spark!

- TK (Taylor)

Congratulations, TK! I think I speak for the whole membership when I say: Huzzah!

I appreciate you stepping up to take over from the site's founders, Ayin and Hannah.

It's a happy time and a little bittersweet, too. ❤️

🥳 🎆 🎇 🧨 Thank you and Christine! You'll be fine!

🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
Hi everyone. Looking forward to being part of the team.
Taylor and I will be learning as we go. We have our water wings on right now. Please be patient with us if there’s any hiccoughs along the way. He has been really doing a great job learning and getting this transition moving with AYIN and Hannah. Terri has been a great big help to us both. I couldn’t think of a better guide.
Well, Taylor and I really wanted to keep such a wonderful, friendly and supportive community going. AYIN and Hannah did all the hard work getting us here. We just didn’t want to lose the friendship and traditional forum style Creativespark offers. It is much nicer for getting to know people, having discussions and learning.
This is happy news. We are excited for everyone to know. Let the news spreads that we are STILL here!🎉🎉

Same here. Lots of private messaging, and quietly lurking daily.

Happy to be able to post around again!

Not that I wasn't allowed or anything, but more that I was choosing to refrain for a while, trying to be sneaky. 😆

Thanks TK and PaintBoss for taking over the running of Creative Spark.

Thanks also to Ayin and Hannah for generously giving the opportunity for Creative Spark to continue.

:)
