This is an A4 sized pen and ink sketch that I made in my sketchbook aound 2011 or so. My wife and I were on a sketching holiday at that time and I was able to take my time over this one. And, although I made some other sketches on location during that trip, this one was sketched using a photograph that I took, as my reference.
The "Sanku Chakra Naamam" religious symbol is there above the main entrance to the building because this building houses a Vaishnavite mutt called Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Swamy Mutt, which has been in existence since the 13th century. I am referring to the mutt (monastery) and not this building, which is located close to the Mysore Palace.
