Hello Everyone,

I did these 10 years ago, some are still works in progress !

1] 'Grace And Dignity'

I did this in clay and a local foundry cast it in bronze.

2] 'Starseeker'

Clay [ I painted it to show people what it would look like in bronze ]

3] 'Starseeker' Wax - I'm in the process of doing 'Starseeker' in wax in the
hopes of getting it cast in bronze [ it's cheaper if I do the wax]

4] 'Wisdom' Clay - this is still a work in progress.

Cheers,
Patricia

They are excellent. The head in the last photo, is full of character.

10 years in progres? well im not the only one.
beautiful works.

Very good to see your excellent work, Stargazer. What are the dimensions of the pieces? It would also be nice if you could share some technical details about the materials with us. Do you have more works to show us?

Penny Artyczar, Lazarus, P.Barrie, Hermes2020 - Thankyou very much for your nice comments.

Lazarus - now that I come to think of it both 'Starseeker' and 'Wisdom' have been 'works-in-progress'
for more than 10 years !

Hermes2020. The approximate dimensions are:

' Grace And Dignity' 12" tall including the marble base.
' Starseeker' 12" tall
' Wisdom' Life-size

Cheers,
Patricia

P.Barrie.......I worked out the pose by doing dozens of charcoal sketches
from all angles. Then quickly modelled with clay and then finally I managed to persuade
my husband to pose for 30 seconds to check that the pose is even possible.
[ I've discovered that, sometimes, a pose that looks good on paper is actually
not possible for the human body !] in this case, I wanted to check that a human
could actually tilt the head that much without toppling off the perch !
Cheers,
Patricia

These are absolutely gorgeous, Patricia. Wow! Full of drama and beauty.

I could work on something like this for 10 years, and likely the rest of my life, and still not begin to approach your exquisite shaping. Great work!

Snowball, Terri, ams.
