Sketching at Chettinad House, Dakshina Chitra, Chennai

I sketched this on location last week, in an A6 sketchbook, using a black ink gel pen. Our freshest crop of students and about a dozen faculty visited Dakshina Chitra, a living heritage museum, as part of the students' induction program. While the students explored the place some of us faculty used the opportunity to do some on location sketching.

Yes, I do love to sketch and I always carry a pen and at least a tiny notepad.

I am not an exceptionally quick sketcher, though I used to sketch slightly quicker than I do now. This sketch took me around 45 minutes.
