SDMR day 1 (pen & ink, plus watercolour)

Recently my wife, daughter, son-in-law and I went on a holiday to a place called Sinna Dorai Mango Range, within a tea estate in the Nilgiris, a mountain range in Southern India. We were there for three days. I made one pen and ink sketch on location on each day and added some watercolour washes to them the same day. This was done on the first day. It is a view from the property where we were staying. My sketch is 5.5" x 8.5", on Canson 250 gsm watercolour paper.

Yes, it is a lovely and serene place. My daughter and son-in-law went for long walks. I preferred to stay within the property, sketch, paint, take photographs, and read.
