Hi Nakarmi, thanks for showing the progression of your work. I like the underpainting because it looks loose and relaxed and I like the final version for its lighting and overall polished look. Maybe you could combine both effects in another painting by purposely leaving some of the underpainting showing. I need to try that too.

Thank you, Donna. I will try to combine both next time. It was a struggle to get the colors right on the face and hands; definitely need more practice.
I personally really like the finished figure, and how you handled the clothing. Good work!
This may be a study, but I think for me the plain background color doesn't work as well. Even though the dark is a great contrast for white, I think here it sells her a little short. Maybe if in a different setting, even if simple, she'd come more to life as is. Just a thought.

Thank you for your input; you are right about that black background; it has been bothering me too. I am thinking about painting a darker wall in the shadows; let's see how it will pan out. I will definitely share the final result.
