My Kitty (still wip)

Painting my cat with gouache atm. This is probably a wip because I might be able to try to fix it a little more (hair, whiskers etc). Paper is quite poor notebook and with gouache it wrinkles but with oils I paint fine on this paper I wonder why!

It's looking good, despite the poor paper. I know it is very defeating to work with any sort of water medium on paper that wrinkles.

I'm so new to gouache and trying to figure out how it functions really. Same goes to the paper where it acts well.
My husband says the kitty looks like the model herself but I disagree slightly. I don't think I quite got her likeness.

I haven't quite figured out gouache. When I first got my set, I expected them to behave like watercolors, but they didn't and I wasn't sure how to use them properly.
