This is a quick watercolour sketch in my 3.5" x 5.5" pocket sketchbook. It is based on a photograph by BS Wilson, generously shared in an online art forum some years ago.

Thank you Terri. I did this sketch with no rules and very low expectations. My only objective was to experience the pleasure of wielding a brush, since I had not done that for a while. I always find it very liberating to go in with this thought in mind.

I was also not focussing very much on either accuracy or reproducing the colours in the reference. in fact, I used only the colours available on a dried out flat palette for this sketch. And, as it turned out, I am quite happy with the result.
