This was the subject of a May Drawing Challenge. The deadline was 31st May, but I saw this only late on 30th evening and decided to do a quick sketch. Unfortunately, even the "quick" sketch took a lot longer than I expected, and I could not meet the deadline.
It was only as I was posting this later that I realised that the deadline for this challenge had been 31st May of the previous year.
Incidentally I used to sketch quite often on newspapers. This habit started when I used to do the crossword puzzle regularly. When I got stuck and could not proceed further with the puzzle I used to sketch on the newspaper and sometimes that helped me to find the solution.
This is essentially an ink drawing, but I think there is also some charcoal shading on it. I did this many years ago and I am unable to recall the details with confidence.
