Nice, I like the progression from foreground to treeline and the various tree "distances". The left tree cluster gives a nice value focus.

Thanks sundiver, artyczar,MurrayG and Nufocus.
Working with this charcoal was a little tricky because they
were so soft. It took a very light touch in some areas.

Beautiful work, Perry! I don't miss the color when the values are done so well.

Very engaging piece! The comp is great and so is your touch with charcoal. I like the painterly approach, charcoal is great for that. Vine sticks?

I love charcoal landscapes, so this really appeals to me. Great range of marks and textures, and excellent value control. Hope you'll try some more of these!

I love it! Charcoal is beautiful to me. You've done lovely work here!

Perry, this is a good sketch, I like the cropped areas, the front with indication of different field form and plants, middle ground trees are interesting and the distant mountains just perfect.

I love the composition. It's telling me I need to go along that path. Great work.

Just commented on your other charcoal landscape.....this one is very lovely too ! Really enjoyed looking at it !
