Wanted to do this street scene - the degree of difficulty is above my paygrade, but I've never let that stop me before.

The tree was blocking the KFC sign, but in clear view from the easel. But to get that view I had to set up inches from the street.

Thought I was clear of the bus stop, but some of the busses stop more back. Oh yeah, the top clamp on my easel cracked in two as I was setting up.
Should be able to fix it when I get home.

or I should say re-sketch. Thank goodness for OMS(odorless mineral spirits) I was able to make corrections.

Guess what new color I added to my palette? If you guessed Plum grey by Utrecht you'd be correct.

A guy offered me $11. for it right off the easel. Strange amount, but.. I'm never insulted, and always appreciative of any offer. I politely turned it down

KFC - oil on 18"x14" panel.

That does seem more difficult, but it seems to lend itself to having more character here. I like that the street has a pink tone. You made some nice decisions. Well done and I continue to love your style. :) ♥️

I would recognize the Colonel even if you didn't tell us, Bongo! Wonderful work on a very busy scene. How do you concentrate with all of those distractions?

Ayin, Cali - thank you. Just glad I got something to take home with this one, was flying by the seat of my pants.

St. Luke - just because KFC tastes good is no reason to eat it.

Donna thanks. I'm so focused on the work, I get startled when people come up to me. It is kinda intimidating when I set up, but once the brush hits the panel I'm locked in.
