11 x 14 inches .. oil on paper .. alla prima .. painted April 24/22
I dropped my easel down to waist high and painted this from the hip so I didn't have to engage my shoulder that much. Nothing I would want to try where delicate was needed. Still fun to be at the easel again. This was not the hill I fell down but it was over the top of that one. That one looked like this.

I think we'd all prefer you to paint hills than fall down them, Wayne. No wonder your shoulder is hurting! I'm glad you found a way to paint that isn't as painful. The hill you painted looks plenty steep and treacherous and I like the palette - it looks so natural for this time of year!

Thank you Donna.
I have to remember I an 72 and not 27. The agility and balance are not there anymore.
Yes, this time of the tear denotes a lot of mud and greys.

This is wonderful! You always surprise me with your additions of pink and red in unexpected areas, and this painting is no exception.

Be careful out there, Wayne! ❤️

This is nice Wayne. I like the hints of pinks and greens in the slope. ❤️ I hope your shoulder is feeling some better.
