High Country Autumn

12x16 on canvas panel using SoHo HB Acrylics with a 2 inch Home Depot cheap natural bristled brush. Painted alla prima in a mostly dry brush technique.

I like the light and shadows in this one.

Although it's difficult to think about autumn right now, I like this, Aspenman! I like the way the sun picks out certain portions of the trees, and they are beautiful against the deep sky and distant mountain. Did you scratch back to make the trunks and limbs?

Thanks-Yes I used the tip of my palette knife to create the trunks and limbs
