I don’t paint 2d that much I usually paint model horses and make things out of leather for them that was my talent but every now and again I paint on other stuff. I’ll be 50 this year live in tn, my health is in question lol, so I might do more paintings. My mom after a car wreck which she died and came back painted as therapy while she healed. I would paint some pictures from pictures mainly horses . But I stepped outside of the box and did an abstract art painting on a counter actually . And it has so many hidden pictures within itself to you can even see things between the layers and if you turned the whole painting upside down you see a total different view. But you must zoom or enlarge the painting to look at what’s inside. This is my first Abstract Art don’t know if I’ll do more this was a try it and see what happens or what catches your eye. I don’t really know what you would label it, it sorta looks like science invading through time?

Thank you, yes hoping my health will get better and maybe some art pieces might come out of being still long enough. I found a few of my earlier drawings. One is from high school lol it’s the thoroughbred getting a bath I was 16 when I drew that. One is my Spanish pony in saddle and a Native American unfinished. Just a few I found on this phone.

Hi Kim, welcome! It is nice to have you here. Painting and doing anything creative can be a wonderful activity when convalescing or if our situation has changed and we can’t do more things. We have many people here including myself, who have medical or physical challenges. I’m very thankful that I have an activity I can do in the circumstances.
Cool abstract. That’s what my husband says as well when I make abstracts. He sees many things. He’s still scolding me for painting over an area of an abstract that was his favourite, because he saw an old man in that painting.
I hope you will keep exploring abstract art. And you will be quite welcome in the abstract challenges and in the abstract forum.
Those are lovely pieces you did in high school. I grew up on a horse hobby farm. Did you grow up on a horse farm as well?
Please explore the site. There are many places you can post these paintings or any of your work. We also have a thread called. “The Next Sketch Is”. It’s a fun little thread where someone asks for a piece of work that includes a certain subject, and you can go through any of your work and post it. It doesn’t matter what medium it is. It does not have to be a pencil sketch. Then you give a new subject for the game to continue. Members enjoy having a chance to post work they have done.
Please also check out the medium forums that suit your work. You can cross post to several forums with the same piece. So wildlife could be your horses. And water colour could also have the same paintings posted.
It’s nice to have an introduction to your work here. But if you want more people to see it, post in other forums.
Rules are posted at the top of the welcome centre forum.
Have fun!
