This is a 5″ x 6″ sketch in an 150 gsm sketchbook. It is essentially a pen and ink sketch on which I spent 20 to 25 minutes and then a further 5 to 10 minutes to add some colour (watercolour washes).

Wow! Your usual excellent detail with the pen, and the additional color wash, make this a winning piece. Well done, Balaji! I'm always impressed with your results, especially how quickly you can get them.

Your work is always so impressive - beautiful work on that complex architecture!

This is well done and quickly! I like that technique and you presented it beautifully.

Terri, Donna, Joe, Joy, Kay, and Jo...Thank you.

I have done very few line and washes in the past. I usually stick to either pen & ink, or watercolour and within these I sometimes work leisurely and in detail, or opt to do quick sketches. But I have now decided to do line and washes more frequently and see how far I can go with that.

Your comments and reactions are a huge source of inspiration and encouragement.
