Thank you Joy, Sno, and Ayin, Hermes, John, and Zen.
The flowers were from a little 5 year old who loves my wife and my wife loves him. He is the grandson of one of my wife's friends and it seems they have just hit it off.
I painted them as would Vincent: using the form as a starting point for expression of color. My wife likes the painting as well and I must say other than the statue of the Spartan I think it is an ok piece. Lately I have been all over the place with my painting and today I decided I am going to do another flower series. Why? Well, I can be quite abstract with thought and color and still have form as a map for the exloration. Oh, and I might add because Sno told me to paint flowers a while ago and Sno knows.
I have an idea for tomorrow or maybe later today to get myself started.
