Ink and Inktense in XL Mixed Media sketchbook, about 7″x7″.
I used several layers of the red to get the color as intense as I wanted it. If I try to get the color too intense right away, I find it looks blotchy, especially when I scan it.
I have been struggling to get nice shadows with the inktense. I have a limited set (12 pencils) so I don’t have a lot of exact compliments. I saw a video on YouTube recently that used a mixed black to darken the tone to the base color for shadows. I tried using the ink black in the set but it is too harsh and pops out when I scan, even in a mix. Instead, this time I mixed a neutral black and used that as a tint and it worked beautifully.
