This is a quick and rough ink and watercolour wash sketch, in an 130 gsm, A6 size (approximately 14 cms x 10 cms) sketchbook. I used one of very many images of this scene available on the internet as my reference.

Beautiful---I love it! I like to watch the videos on Youtube that show images of England and when I get moved to my new place I'll be doing "urban sketching" of scenes from there. Not just of the city of London but of the Cotswolds and other places in the UK that are so beautiful.

You've done such a great job with this. I doubt I'll be able to match you but you do inspire me with this painting.

Very well composed and rendered. I see the Cotswolds often on telly and would love to see them. In undergrad, I took a student tour and visited London.

Ayin, Anne, Terri, and Joy...Thank you.

I call this a "quick and rough sketch" because I was not very precise or careful with both my ink lines, and with the watercolour work. This will be obvious if you enlarge the sketch to about twice its actual size, which is 14 cms x 10 cms. I think I took between ten to fifteen minutes for the inkwork and about twenty minutes or so to apply the colours.
