This is an approximately 7.5″ x 6″ pen and ink sketch, using a flex pen, of the Ceramic Centre at Dakshina Chitra. This venue is a living museum of South Indian culture and heritage, and is located on the southern fringe of Chennai.
For some years now we have taken our first year students to this place, during the first week of their five year course, as part of their induction. This time, while the students explored the place and got to know one another better, I made use of the opportunity to do five sketches in around two hours.
