This is a quick pen and wash sketch in a 5" x 4" elephant dung paper sketchbook. This paper has a nice texture though I find it very difficult to paint on. But I have taken it as a challenge, and I plan to fill this sketchbook with quite a few watercolour, and pen and wash sketches, in the hope that, by the time I use up all the pages, I would have learnt how to paint on this surface.
Why do I wish to do this? It is essentially because I am fascinated by the eco-friendly nature of this paper.
My sketch itself is inspired by a demo by Vanidas Mangathil. And, for those not familiar with the term "auto", it is short for autorickshaw, a three wheeled small public transportation vehicle that is very popular in India and in many countries in South-east Asia.
