How do you feel about the brushstrokes?

I’m not using my expensive paints water as medium.. I’m reading a Picasso biography, and felt compelled to do a “Plato-Republic” 1hr/2hr paintings, 2 sessions w/ drying from reading about his Cubist period. I went and saw all the Picasso paintings at the museum at my house (grandpa took me).. I was only a 4 maybe 6 year old at most, but it’s like I’ve heard his biography before, well I guess I did as a preschooler, it’s just I was so young it’s like I’ve heard the story in a past life.

Well that’s an interesting arrangement! The purple, blue-green and rosey red are beautiful together and I like the brushstrokes - to me they add a sense of movement and interest.

thanks Donna. the purple adds the interest.. It was a risk. My partner didn’t like the brushstrokes, but I agree with you.
