Very lovely! Did you use grounds on the canvas prior to painting? I've always wanted to try painting watercolor on canvas with the Daniel Smith grounds and wondered how they'd hold up. I'd love to know your experience - thanks!

This is a prepared canvas but I have ordered DS absorbent ground so will share that soon. The adherence wasn’t good on this one, but I liked the splotchy bits. I also added some Liquitex glossy super heavy gel on part of it. I like the texture and sheen which doesn’t show well in the photo.

Love the texture plus the delicacy of the tiny leaf ferns! Just used Daniel Smith watercolor ground on a strange piece of paper so we will see what if anything is worth seeing when I attack it.
