This was painted and posted on Facebook eight years ago in 2016, and it came up today as a "memory". I had used part of a photograph that I had taken in 2009, when my wife and I stayed at the Old Harbour Hotel, Fort Kochi, as my reference. These days I am quite happy to pick up and use a brush. But back in 2016, although I was very keen to learn watercolour painting, I was very diffident about it. I would plan long and hard on how to do some subject in watercolour and then end up doing it in pen and ink.
