The first thing I noticed is the boat-like shape of the holder, or bowl. The light blue makes it look like the flowers are floating, stem and all, drifting around the water. I also like how the background makes them appear to be outdoors. Just enough of that pink.

This is a lovely piece!

Thank you Terri. Working on values and original portrayals. Don’t care about traditional as it’s more Picasso thought waves. Make it work as a painting and forget all else. Sometimes the ideas are grounded and other times they wander into dream state.

I agree with the boat idea.

I like how you can see this one multiple ways. On one hand, it looks like flowers in a bowl, on a desk perhaps. But on the other, it looks like flowers in a boat drifting in the water with some foliage in the background. I love the colors too. Very nice!
