11 x 14 inches .. oil on paper .. alla prima .. painted last weekend .. all these later painting are done without reference . I put up a blank sheet, look at my left over colors, and start painting.

.. I use my old paint for the main coloring but pull new paint when I need accents or light. Then today's paint becomes tomorrows.

I would never have guessed that this was done with with left over paint on the palette. The colours look very well planned, and the painting is very attractive.

It’s the combo of muted colors and mixes that give rise to using a triad of unknown hues and as mentioned the addition of a few colors to aid the whole. Thank you.
