24x18 using WMO's (Lukas Berlin Water Mixable Oils). Painted with a 2 inch cheap natural bristled brush alla prima dry brush technique with some palette knife work

Dammit, Aspenman, this actually brought me to tears.

Do you get that hankering to be out there among the aspens and the cottonwoods starting around this time of year? Along about September I get the western wanderlust, and I've spent nowhere near the amount of time out there that you have.

Anyway, beautiful play of light on the grasses, and the trunks are glowing against that background. Wonderful!
