    Some of my sculpture

It's obviously your and only yours choice. But if I've learned anything is that you do not need to look for feasibility in Art. That was already so when artists depicted divinities they didn't believe in, or "feats" that were impossible (like the flight of Icarus), or even impossible entities...

new: GIMP 3.1.4: The new developer release has been released - on the way to GIMP 3.2

That's great. I've been using GIMP since the earliest versions.

    An English Village Street Scene

Looks lovely, and impressionistinct (word intended) too!

When Ink bleeds through acrylic on paper

What you describe sounds like either the ink wasn't fully dry, or the acrylic (water based?) was activating the ink when laid over it. So, the first question is, what kind of ink and acrylic paint where you using? Water based inks may be washable or permanent. The difference is that permanent...

    What are you up to?

That first picture was a great shot. A bird posing in a Paradise Birds hidden behind a Love tree (if I'm not mistaken), or is it a cactus? And I love the composition and interplay of complementary colors in the third, that of the greenery with red flowers and a blue wall.

What art supplies have you bought recently?

A pad of A4 watercolor paper and some Kolinsky brushes. I'm now looking forward to them being delivered. I already have too many brushes, and expect these to be the last in a long, long time.

I always thought that in today's world, art was irrelevant. But this mural showed me it is.

Opinion is always relevant. How you express it can make a whole difference. And Art makes any expression more powerful, as does a good sense of opportunity. Banksy is a master.

"Men are better artists than women"

Troll in search for clicks. So many Internet posters are today trying to get clicks in their feed that raising obvious nonsense controversies is a desperate attempt to draw attention. Was to say more, but I don't think feeding the trolls is any good. To clarify, I refer to the video.

    Ait Benhaddou

Agree, the color here makes for a whole lot of additional useful information that would likely have been lost in the ink sketch. Great idea!

    Scavenger Hunt from Life #169 - Aug 30 - Sep 11

Thank all. Yeah, I'm OK. It's my wife, she broke a shoulder skying and had to undergo surgery and subsequent rehabilitation. But she's already OK (more or less, at least good enough). As for quick drawing... I can't emphasize enough how useful it is. I tend to lean on the side of...

Landscape. Pen and ink on the permanent Moleskine A6. I try to carry always with me a small "kit": a soft kraft-bound A6 moleskine notebook inserted in a leather sleeve that comes with me in the jeans rear pocket, and a small leather pouch (in a front pocket) with a selection of leads...
