    Where is Wayne?

My 2 cents worth: one need not keep paintings in a closet: instead of trashing paints, trash the paintings. That way you can keep your artistic drive/urge alive while not caring to leave useless memorabilia. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder: maybe among all those works you make...

Have you considered water soluble charcoal?

Well, it starts out "not art" at least----

Ah, but one doctor costs more than one assistant or nurse. Such is the sad world we live in. You have my full sympathies. My wife broke a shoulder in January and I'm driving her three times a week to rehab some 50-60 Km away. The good news is the pain will go away as you recover, and there are...

Artist Blogs (that deal more with process, less with monetization)?

Sorry, but I fail to see what is so difficult about using google with e.g. the keywords wordpress art journey, maybe adding blog. I know it doesn't sound nice and duly apologize, but, pray, what is so difficult about it? I just can't understand it.

    Recent art that you liked

Fully agree on most. Jut the thingy about cave art: whoever affirms it wasn't intended as such is probably overreaching. First there is no way to know for sure what it was intended to be, but for some (many, I'd say) pieces there was obviously an intent to make them aesthetic and realistic and...

    The Next Sketch Is

Me too. I think it is their openness: knowing they are unfinished leaves your imagination free to dream how it might end and that makes it more versatile, plus you'll imagine what you'd like, the finished work does not leave this room and may or may not match your taste.

    Recent art that you liked

There you have it. Is it art? Kinda(?). What we forget is that this is not an AI work (guessing here, but I doubt an AI spontaneously created it of its own volition). It is the work of someone who engaged in conversation with the AI directing it what to do, trying and essaying over and over...

What art supplies have you bought recently?

I have some graphite and charcoal watercolor pencils. That's another presentation that is lots of fun: you use them like typical watercolor pencils: i.e. you can draw like with pencils/charcoal, and wash them with brush and water. Mine are (if I remember well, they are woodless) Koh-i-noor, but...

    Art for what's sake?

That's a problem too: con men will make you buy anything fake. That (the fake good you bought) by definition is not what it was sold as (Art), although the theatrical performance of the scammer may be. Which doesn't make what they do ethical. They are different things. At a lower level, an...
