Nothing super exciting, but picked up a self-healing cutting mat yesterday. Doing some sculpting soon for two projects. So it'll be used for carving clay, and for the pieces to dry on. Will likely order some small gemstones today for the same projects. Some moonstones and opals. Been working...

Can't say I miss the harsh winters. My parents back home in Ontario dropped to -33F a few days ago. Mum said they had a good amount of snow as well. They're better prepared for that kind of weather than a lot of the areas that got hit, but still... I've experienced those deep freezes enough...

I use watercolor paper with mine. A big plus is that the watercolor paper will take more water and abuse. You can brush over the colors without worrying too much about the water soaking through or pulling up paper fibers.

I've been frustrated by this as well. I also stopped using Pinterest for inspiration for this reason. And it seems most sources are flooded with AI garbage anymore. Even looking for something simple, like a photo of a butterfly... I have to sift through tons of 3-legged molten-looking AI...

I like to layer my Inktense. I typically do a layer, wet it, then draw back on top once it's dry. Sometimes I'll do a few layers this way. Then I usually end with some dry pencil work on top. I received my replacement watercolor set. Much better! There was a dent in the lid on this one too, but...
