I left the white of the canvas on the top and bottom. It’s pretty big. I took inspiration from various masters of abstracts giving shapes and methods from different styles and times a moment to be on the same canvas. It’s acrylic.
Thanks Terri :) my husband likes it enough to hang it up where we’ll see it all the time. It is painting inspired by him, to, but I didn’t tell him, even if the tattoos were meant as his Halloween costume

Rupert is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with what we suspect to be the German Shepard that was in our old neighborhood.

I’ll post a picture when it dries all the way. The paint is really seeping into the canvas like her technique does. Wasn’t expecting it to look so different than wet.
It was fun Donna! I also felt as if I went in depth with Frankenthaler. I looked up her paintings online and read her page in the masterpiece encyclopedia I rented from the library after I painted. I can appreciate some things I couldn’t before.
