    Flowers 1 .. Flowers II

Two beauties. I prefer the second one a little bit more, but that is because I love this combination of turquoise, green and pink.

    Uncommon Beauty

Beautiful flower painted beautifully. Interesting to hear about background story. It looks so lovely, is edible, smells good and is still a bane. We have here Himalayan balsam as invasive species, also looking nicely, but is slightly poisonous, not possible to get rid of it by eating. ;)

Thank you for your comments Terri, Arty and John. And thank you John for answering Artys question. To be precise I used cold pressed fine grain paper, that means a little bit textured. That is my workhorse paper, good for almost everything. Hot pressed paper is very smooth, no texture.

Nice with a good depth and I also like the texture in the foreground greens.

    Latest Oil Pastel

Beautiful. You have a special way to render water and as the others said overall rich in color and textures.

I love them both, but the first one has a stronger composition. I am fascinated that you seem to be able to get a pastel painting look with acrylics. Acrylics are so much easier to handle afterwards.

Watercolor on Arches CP paper (30x40 cm) This is the Untersberg a massif at the border between Bavaria and Austria and part of the Northern Limestone Alps. It is also the subject of numerous myths and legends, which are mostly connected to the huge cave system below the mountain. So it is...
