    Beached Boats

Very beautiful. A usual problem I face with most office-type gel or liquid ink pens is that they are water soluble. They are good for sketching, however if I try to add some watercolor the ink is diluted by the watercolor and smudges.

    Tripod recommendation?

Long ago (2012 I think) I had to buy a tripod from my new (at the time) camera. The camera was small in size and rather lightweight. In the shop, the clerk proposed a Hama Star (perhaps 61, not sure about the model number) low priced, although I was ready to pay more for a good tripod. He told...

    A cut off hamlet

I try to define the style. I could name it 'realism' , however looking into details makes it something beyond realism. Those reflections are very special: although the water surface looks like the perfect mirror, reflected images differ from the original representations! Lovely!

    Misty Autumn

Very nice and detailed work for the trees and foreground autumn nature. The inner plan behind the trees is outstanding. It seems a bit surrealistic to me the right part, with a rather spring landscape for the hill. :)

    Returning to Earth

I love everything: idea, execution, details, colors. I wander how you did draw those light lines over the darker color!

    Higginbothams, Chennai

Great work. It is not at all easy to sketch small size with such thick markers! (y)

    Road to the Mountains

I find a degree of abstraction in the composition, with red rocks at the left and all-green fields, hills and mountains at the right! :) I love very much the sky. I often try something like that with a thick watercolor brush. Sometimes I'm lucky, sometimes I try to "correct" it and in fact I...

The sketchbook OP doesn't want you to see

I love your animal sketches. There are instructions on how to begin from an initial shape and how to add more and more details to obtain the wanted character and expression. I like your successive attempts to go closer and closer to a nice result. If you permit some remarks on the last sheet...

    Landscape lesson

Very well done. I've read for the first time about this technique to give depth to the landscape in an article at the Talens web site. As we go further and further to the back, colors become less saturated, tons are lighter and shapes become fuzzy. You did it in perfection. :)

Orange Poppy in Watercolor - Xpost from Watermedia

I see that painting in big on my screen and feel the relief! You write, you don't paint many flowers, nevertheless any flowers of yours I've seen till now are just perfect!! :)

    Red Fruit on Prickly Pears
