Arnie

Arnold Bisset is a self taught landscape artist based in Hampshire, England, who works in oil, pastel and watercolour. Initially he worked entirely in oils, but after trying pastels he found their expression and immediacy was of benefit to his oils. Similarly with watercolor, he found greater freedom to use color in different ways. During lockdown he has mainly been doing impasto oils, enjoying working with the extra texture. Using marks in the texture to give extra life and spontaneity to the painting.
