Usually oil painting paper but it only happens with the stand oil mix and only sometimes. I think I've had it happen on canvas before too but can't remember for sure. I tend to use cheaper grades of mineral sprites instead turpentine so that could play a part.

Thanks everyone. I do tend to give such things away if family or close friends want them. Otherwise I usually do at least 1 yard sale a year and can put such things out at them. The last ones I sold I think were all under $5.

Most of the time I just use the paints straight from the tube. If I need to thin it or glaze I use a mixture of stand oil and mineral spirits. Or sometimes I thin directly with mineral spirits.

Found this yesterday at an antique shop for $7. Painting is on an 18"x24" canvas panel with a solid wood frame. The painting has some scratches and at least one corner is bent up but I I wanted the frame.

I made it to 2 min 18 seconds. I have a short attention span and the painting really didn't do anything for me.

I found these at a used book store yesterday and picked them up for $4 each. I know I keep saying I need to move away from soft pastels but then I keep buying stuff for them. I'm starting to think that I need to see a therapist. lol

I finally tried out the new set of pencils I got awhile back. 5.5"x8.5" graphite in sketchbook. As always thoughts, opinions, advice and criticism are always welcome. Still trying to learn.

I saw that part and wasn't the least bit offended. Its an often copied painting. And honestly from other things said by those offended I think most of those angry about it would have found a reason to be angry no matter what it was.

I watched it. Not really something that really impressed me but I also didn't think it was bad.
